TRANSLATOR
versus
INTERPRETER

In common parlance translators
and interpreters are often called,
simply, 'translators'. However, 
professionals make a technical
distinction:


Translators work at desks
engaging with texts

Interpreters
work live
engaging with spoken messages.


Oral Translation

Verbal expression in another language of a
